If you expected Kansas City Royals reliever Peter Moylan to be a little spent Wednesday afternoon at Kauffman Stadium, having already pitched two nights in a row, well, you were sorely mistaken.
The restless right-hander made the play of the game in his club's series finale against the Chicago White Sox well before he actually got into the game, hauling in a sixth-inning homer from teammate Salvador Perez from inside in the left-field bullpen with a slick leaping grab.
A few minutes later, Moylan was summoned from the bullpen and threw a scoreless frame, allowing just one hit while notching a strikeout to make it 14 straight appearances without allowing a run.
