The Los Angeles Clippers are beginning to sort out their front office chain of command following the removal of head coach Doc Rivers from his dual role as president of basketball operations.

The Clippers moved Lawrence Frank into Rivers' vacated position, have reportedly offered their general manager job to Oklahoma City Thunder executive Michael Winger, and are now set to bring on Trent Redden as their assistant GM, sources told ESPN's Kevin Arnovitz.

Redden served in the same role with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the last four seasons, before being let go - along with GM David Griffin - early this summer. The 33-year-old was Griffin's top assistant, and was considered a likely candidate to be promoted to GM in the event Griffin's contract was not renewed. But Redden reportedly didn't develop much of a relationship with owner Dan Gilbert, so was shown the same door as his boss.

All told, Redden spent a decade working for the Cavs, first as basketball operations manager and then as director of player personnel, before being promoted to assistant GM in 2013.
