Burnley has found its replacement for Andre Gray, signing New Zealand international striker Chris Wood from Leeds United for a club-record fee.

The Clarets announced the long-rumoured move Monday, adding the robust 25-year-old arrives at Turf Moor on a four-year deal for an undisclosed expense.

The fee is in the neighbourhood of £15 million, according to the BBC, eclipsing the £13 million the Lancashire lot shelled out to Norwich City for Robbie Brady's services in January.

After leading the second tier in scoring last season on 27, Wood joins Sean Dyche's noticeably robust front-line alongside Sam Vokes, Jonathan Walters, and Ashley Barnes, boosting an attack using part of the £18.5 million recouped on Gray's move to Watford.

Wood spent the last two seasons at Leeds after being deemed surplus to requirements at Leicester City, and for Thomas Christiansen's West Yorkshire Whites, the forward's departure leaves a significant hole in attack.

No worries, as Leeds revealed Monday that after failing to secure a three-year deal for Wood, the club will use the funds to cover further moves, saying, "Supporters can rest assured that monies generated from the sale of Chris Wood will be reinvested into adding to the 12 signings we have made already."

Leeds also announced it will permit fans who purchased a Wood kit to trade it in for another strip, albeit a blank one.
