Watford signs Brazil starlet Richarlison
Watford announced Tuesday the club has signed highly-touted Brazil Under-20 starlet Richarlison out of Fluminense, penning the 20-year-old on a five-year deal for a reported fee of £11 million.
Richarlison impressed during his time at Fluminense, scoring 19 goals in 67 appearances as well as notching two goals for the Brazil U-20 team. He joins Marco Silva's side as a promising prospect, with the rumour mill linking him to the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United before his Hornets move.
He also helps alleviate some of the pressure on Watford's forward ranks as Troy Deeney continues to recover from a groin injury, and is questionable for the club's opening fixture against Liverpool on Saturday despite returning to full training earlier in the week.
