Sevilla pulled off a coup Tuesday by signing Jesus Navas on a free transfer.

Just like many other deals in Europe this summer, Navas, who left Andalusia for Manchester City in 2013, was unveiled in a cringeworthy video:

The 31-year-old winger signed a four-year contract and will be presented to fans Wednesday.

For a long time it appeared Navas would be a one-club man due to the chronic homesickness he suffered. It forced him to leave Spanish national team camps and turn down transfers as he felt tied to the province of Seville, but he overcame it to leave for England, where he procured a Premier League title and two League Cups.

In the 2015-16 season, he played more minutes than any other City player. Under Pep Guardiola last term, however, his league involvement was dropped by 54 percent and he was sometimes shoved into the unfamiliar confines of right-back.

He's the second player to leave the Premier League outfit for Sevilla this summer, with Nolito switching earlier in the window for around €9 million. Samir Nasri also spent last season on loan at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Navas' main competition at Sevilla should be 25-year-old Pablo Sarabia, who had a commendable league return of eight goals and eight assists in 2017-18 despite starting just 22 matches.

Navas already has 393 competitive appearances for Sevilla under his belt from his first spell with the club.
