Things got out of hand in the fifth inning of a contest between the Toronto Blue Jays and Oakland Athletics on Thursday afternoon, as Marcus Stroman, Russell Martin, and manager John Gibbons were ejected for arguing balls and strikes.
Moments after Gibbons was tossed for letting home plate umpire Will Little know his thoughts about the strike zone, both Stroman and Martin appeared unhappy with a call from Little, who ended up ejecting both players seconds apart from one another.
After his ejection, Stroman ran towards Little to vent his frustrations and was restrained by Martin and bench coach DeMarlo Hale before exiting the field.
