Middlesbrough announced Saturday the club has signed goalkeeper Darren Randolph from West Ham to a four-year deal on a £5-million transfer.

The 30-year-old Republic of Ireland international spent the last two seasons at West Ham, making 42 total appearances, including 22 in the Premier League last season as Slaven Bilic's preferred starter.

"I'm delighted to get it all signed and completed," Randolph said, as quoted by the club's official website. "Arriving here and see the facilities, it's definitely a Premier League club. I want to come here and get the club back to where it belongs and be part of something special."

Middlesbrough was in the market for further reinforcements between the posts as Brad Guzan departed the club at the top of the summer to join Major League Soccer expansion side Atlanta United.
