Report: Dodgers 'looking hard' at Britton, Wilson, Hand

Mitch Stringer / USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Dodgers own the best record in baseball, but it appears that's not good enough.

L.A. is "looking hard" at the left-handed relief market, and has Zach Britton, Justin Wilson, and Brad Hand on its radar, according to MLB.com's Mark Feinsand.

The Dodgers' bullpen already features one of baseball's top closers in Kenley Jansen, who got goosebumps when he heard rumors of L.A.'s interest in Britton last week. The addition of any member of the aforementioned trio would be a huge upgrade to their 'pen, though.

PITCHER G IP ERA WHIP SO
Zach Britton 14 15 1.80 1.73 11
Justin Wilson 37 35.1 2.29 0.91 50
Brad Hand 43 48 2.25 0.98 61

Britton has missed a good chunk of the 2017 season thanks to a strained left forearm, but has drawn interest from several teams, according to multiple reports, after a '16 campaign that included 69 appearances in which he saved 47 games and recorded a 0.54 ERA for the Baltimore Orioles.

Wilson has pitched well for the struggling Detroit Tigers, and has been a popular name on the trading block. The 29-year-old has struck out 12.7 hitters per nine, while recording a 2.29 ERA and 0.91 WHIP during 37 appearances.

Hand, like Wilson, has been a popular trade target of teams in need of bullpen help. He's been a bright spot on a poor San Diego Padres club, sporting a 2.25 ERA in 43 games.
