Fultz tweets he's OK, but will miss rest of summer league

Breathe easy, Sixers fans: Markelle Fultz is OK.

The Philadelphia 76ers rookie was helped off the court Saturday night after rolling his left ankle, sending supporters - including teammate Joel Embiid - into a panic.

He tweeted Sunday to let everyone know he's fine.

It was initially reported the No. 1 overall pick suffered a high ankle sprain, but the team announced Sunday that his X-rays were negative and he's dealing with a lateral ankle sprain. Fultz can now walk under his own power, but will be held out for the remainder of summer league before resuming normal basketball activities in one-to-two weeks.

Philly has had awful injury luck over the past few years, as multiple lottery picks have gone down and missed significant time, and in the cases of Nerlens Noel, Embiid, and last year's top pick Ben Simmons, they suffered knocks before playing a single NBA game. It seems like the organization has caught a break this time around, however.

Cue a collective sigh of relief from the Sixers faithful. You can go back to Trusting the Process now.
