Heat re-sign James Johnson to reported 4-year, $60M contract

The Miami Heat have re-signed forward James Johnson to a reported four-year, $60-million deal, which includes a player option in the final year, according to Sam Amick of USA TODAY Sports.

Johnson, 30, is coming off a career year with Miami, averaging 12.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.1 blocks, and a steal on 47.9 percent shooting.

After whiffing on Blake Griffin and Gordon Hayward earlier in free agency, the Heat have worked quickly to use up their cap space, reportedly agreeing to deals with Kelly Olynyk and Dion Waiters this week.

The Heat are reportedly in advanced talks to send power forward Josh McRoberts to the Dallas Mavericks in order to clear enough cap room to make all their agreed-upon deals official.
