Isiah Thomas insists he has no interest in joining Knicks front office
New York Knicks owner James Dolan can't stop tripping over his own feet, but this time Isiah Thomas might actually save Dolan from himself.
Thomas, who served as the Knicks' president of basketball operations for a catastrophic tenure from 2003 to 2008, reportedly emerged as a "dark-horse candidate" to replace the exiled Phil Jackson and reprise his role at the helm of the team's front office.
But the 56-year-old, who is currently president of both business and basketball ops for the WNBA's New York Liberty, and a part-time studio analyst for NBA TV, shot down the possibility Thursday.

Dolan and Jackson "mutually agreed to part ways" Wednesday, after Jackson's tumultuous three-year run as team president, and after Dolan had picked up the final two option years on his contract, valued at $24 million.
The Knicks are also reportedly confident that they'll eventually be able to pry Raptors president Masai Ujiri away from Toronto, and have reportedly discussed current Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti for the same role.
