New Orleans Saints players haven't been hiding their excitement since the arrival of future Hall of Famer Adrian Peterson, and head coach Sean Payton isn't any different.

With Drew Brees and John Kuhn already giving their blessing on the Saints' signing, Payton professed how impressed he's been with the 32-year-old running back.

"He'd be the one guy that you would say has already gone against conventional wisdom," Payton told Joel Erickson of The New Orleans Advocate. "With not only his skill set, but also his physical ability and the way he trains. I think he is excited to get back."

Saints players have been fawning over Peterson since he's arrived to offseason workouts, praising him at every media availability. His new blockers continued that trend this week.

"If you look at him, he's a specimen, he's cut out of granite," guard Larry Warford said. "Don't shake his hand."

"I'm amazed, honestly," left tackle Terron Armstead said. "Seeing him just take off, his first two steps are as explosive as I've ever seen by a human being. It's unbelievable."

Needless to say, the Saints are glad they landed Peterson.
