The Premier League is over, and it could look very different by August. There are still many players that can leave their current clubs for nothing when their contracts expire in June. Here, theScore counts down the top 10.

10. Willy Caballero

You sense from his eventual selection above Claudio Bravo and his penalty-saving exploits in the 2016 League Cup final that many Manchester City fans would like to keep Willy Caballero around - but only as backup. At 35, he's unlikely to settle for that and will be keen to take his shot-stopping elsewhere.

9. Lucas Leiva

Lucas Leiva became an honorary Scouser in his 10 years at Liverpool, but is now leaving for what will probably be the last move of his career. His early days on Merseyside showed promise and he was named Player of the Year for the 2010-11 season, and began the following campaign well until a cruciate ligament injury marked a significant setback in his career. He makes the most of his limited attributes with positional sense and by being an inspirational figure. Not a bad signing at 30 years old, if you can stop him returning to Brazil.

8. Gael Clichy

Gael Clichy was regularly scapegoated by fans this season as indicative of the weak full-back choices at Manchester City. He can be bullied by strong wingers, but is otherwise a composed and defensively sound left-back. There's still some mileage left in the tank at 31, too.

7. Jan Kirchhoff

Jan Kirchhoff wouldn't have kept Sunderland up if he stayed fit over the season, but the Black Cats would've made a better fight of it. The 26-year-old had a torrid time with hamstring and cartilage issues over 2016-17, robbing his club of a thoughtful and physical presence in the midfield. He could be a smart pickup if he proves his fitness.

6. Pablo Zabaleta

The tearful farewell Pablo Zabaleta got at Manchester City was no surprise. He played with the passion of a fan and embraced his adopted home, but most impressively, improved as his club continued to grow as a force in his nine years there. He's only 32, can smartly overlap in attack, and is uncompromising defensively.

5. Michael Carrick

Michael Carrick, 35, has gone undervalued for much of his career. While England gushed about box-to-box midfielders and lumpy forwards, the Geordie quietly went about his business in the deep-lying position, dictating tempo and seldom losing possession. There's been talk of a contract extension at Manchester United but, for now, he's up for grabs with his deal set to run down in June.

4. Jesus Navas

Sometimes the drop of the shoulder, dash to the byline, and worm-burning cross can be a tad predictable, but Jesus Navas' pace and ability to stretch defences are valuable assets. With Leroy Sane, Raheem Sterling, and others coming through the Etihad Campus, Manchester City moved on without the wee winger, but don't surprised if he enjoys a successful swansong at his provincial club, Sevilla.

3. Yaya Toure

Yaya Toure's career looked over when a verbal spat between his agent and Pep Guardiola left him locked out of the Spaniard's plans. It took only an apology from the Ivorian for his November reinstallation into the lineup, however, and he hasn't looked back since. He may be 34 years old, but he can still set up shop as the metronome in the XI of a leading side.

2. Santi Cazorla

Santi Cazorla had started every Premier League match until he fell to a season-ending ankle complaint against Ludogorets in October. He has a bewitching quality of controlling matters in the middle of the park with his intelligent, measured use of the ball and, if he can regain full fitness at 32, could enhance any squad in the division. There are rumours that he's already penned longer terms at Arsenal.

1. Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Zlatan Ibrahimovic silenced his few remaining doubters in England with 17 goals in 28 Premier League appearances. At 35, he still refuses to show the signs of ageing and is capable of flinging himself in shapes that others of his vintage can only perform when falling down the stairs. He was unfortunately hit by a serious knee injury in April, but you can't write him off yet.

There has been talk of an extended deal at Old Trafford for the Swede, but nothing is officially agreed.

Honourable mentions: Charlie Adam, Phil Bardsley, Fraizer Campbell, Darren Fletcher, Wayne Hennessey, Joe Ledley, Bacary Sagna, John Terry
