If you hadn't heard, Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer has a bit of an eye issue.

After suffering a detached right retina in 2016, the 60-year-old revealed in early May that he underwent his sixth and seventh eye procedures, but he wasn't done there.

Zimmer had an eighth surgery on his right eye last week as doctors replaced an oil bubble with a glass bubble, according to ESPN's Ben Goessling. Zimmer hopes it will be the last time he needs to go under the knife for his eye, but admits "I've thought that before."

The eight surgeries have all happened in the last seven months, as he underwent his first Oct. 31, a day after losing to the Chicago Bears. He also missed a Week 13 game against the Dallas Cowboys for an emergency surgery.

Zimmer said his eye is "healing" and he will not be able to fly for six weeks.
