Agent: 'No chance' Verratti returns to Serie A

He once played in Pescara, but Paris Saint-Germain's heavily-courted star midfielder Marco Verratti has no intention of returning to Serie A, according to his agent Donato Di Campli.

The 24-year-old has been with PSG since 2012 and is currently under contract until 2021, but has been linked with a number of teams ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window.

Among them, Juventus and Inter, both of whom would find a spot for the Italy international in their respective starting lineups right away. While Di Campli admitted Verratti could make a move out of France this summer, he ruled out a return to Serie A entirely.

"Juventus and Inter are not exactly favourites," Di Campli told Calcio Mercato, as quoted by ESPN FC. "At the moment, there's no chance that Verratti will return to Serie A."

Instead, Verratti could be reunited with Carlo Ancelotti as Bayern Munich, a manager for whom he said he "would like to play for" again "in the future." On that front, Di Campli offered only a hint.

"Bayern could indeed have made an offer," Di Campli said. "But whoever is interested in Verratti has to speak to the club and not with me."
