It's hard to determine which was faster - Odell Beckham's rise to stardom or his fall from grace.

The New York Giants receiver burst onto the scene in 2014 as the flashy, unbelievably talented one-handed catch specialist no one could get enough of. Less than three seasons later, the same fans who cheered for Beckham have grown tired of his overly emotional ways and perceived selfish behavior.

Here are seven moments that took Beckham from a blond-haired rookie phenom to a whining, frustrated villain

Mr. One-Handed

In just the seventh game of his NFL career, Beckham burst onto the scene by making one of the most amazing plays caught on film in football history, fending off pass interference to haul in an incredible one-handed catch that would make his name known everywhere.

Making it look easy

Following his explosion into the national spotlight, it became apparent his play against the Cowboys wasn't a fluke, as Beckham started making more and more spectacular catches in games and warmups.

After missing the first four games of his debut season, Beckham still managed to do enough to earn the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, a spot at the Pro Bowl, and the cover of Madden '16.

Hello Mr. Norman

Beckham continued to cruise through his second season much like his first, leading all receiving categories and putting up six-straight 100-yard games. Then, however, came a meeting with his soon to be arch enemy, Josh Norman.

Norman and the Panthers exposed a side of Beckham fans were totally unaware of, as the All-Pro cornerback caused so much frustration that Beckham showed the first signs of what was to come.

Celebrity status

After his sophomore season, Beckham jumped from simply a star football player to a star. His friendship with rapper Drake and relationship with TV personality Khloe Kardashian gained him plenty of notoriety and criticism, including from fellow athlete-turned-celebrity Charles Barkley, who said:

I think Odell Beckham is a stud and he's getting a lot of commercials, but I think he's starting to get to the point where he's becoming too famous instead of worrying how to become a great football player. I think he needs to be careful. Just lay low and just kick butt on the field. I mean, nobody cares about all that extracurricular stuff.

Norman: Round 2

While Norman provided most of the rivalry's offseason fire, Beckham couldn't help but throw a questionable jab after the division-rival Redskins signed his nemesis, stating "the reason he's become so relevant is because of me."

When the adversaries met for their second career matchup in September, not only did Norman contribute to a Giants loss, but he also ensured Beckham lost his cool again - in embarrassing fashion:

Monday night meltdown

A week after the embarrassing defeat to Norman and the Redskins, Beckham was back in the national spotlight on Monday night against the Vikings. The 23-year-old was held to a career-low 23 yards as Xavier Rhodes shut him down.

After Beckham received a penalty for bumping an official following what he thought was a late hit by Rhodes, he unleashed his most hateable quote to date:

It's always, it's just my fault. That's all I look at it as, it's my fault. Whatever you want to call it. I just have to understand if I sneeze the wrong way, it'll be a flag, it'll be a fine. If I tie my shoe the wrong way, it might be a fine or a flag. It is what it is. You have to understand that.

Beckham didn't even receive support from teammates, as quarterback Eli Manning said the beleaguered receiver brought the negative attention "upon himself."

No more fun

Less than 24 hours after the worst showing of his career, Beckham confirmed he wasn't feeling like the explosive rookie everyone raved about in 2014, revealing he was no longer "having fun" playing football.

The regularly overly dramatic receiver's comments have drawn mixed reviews from fans, players, teammates, and media - some of whom even questioned his desire to play judging by this April tweet:

While Beckham's passion and flare may have been what caused the NFL world to fall in love with his high-flying antics, it appears those same qualities have sunk his image to previously unimaginable depths in a short period of time.
