A familiar name will be on the field when UCLA begins spring practice on March 29, as Cordell Broadus is returning to the football program as a walk-on, a source told Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports.
The son of Snoop Dogg was a former four-star wide receiver who left the team before ever playing a snap for the Bruins prior to the 2015 season. At the time, Broadus said he was leaving to focus on his filmmaking career.
Originally on scholarship, Broadus will return as a walk-on player for a depleted receiving corps in Los Angeles. Thomas Duarte and Jordan Payton are both NFL bound, leaving no one to catch passes from standout freshman quarterback Josh Rosen.
