Thomas Tyner's shoulder injury was too much to overcome.
The Oregon running back announced Friday he's retiring from football because of the issue, but plans to stay in school.
Tyner missed the entire 2015 campaign after undergoing shoulder surgery ahead of the season. The former four-star recruit finishes his career with the Ducks posting more than 1,200 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns.
