Report: UCLA's Ishmael Adams arrested for alleged robbery
UCLA defensive back Ishmael Adams was arrested for an alleged robbery on campus, according to Daily Bruin Sports. Adams is being held on $100,000 bail.
According to Kyle Bonagura of ESPN, Adams was arrested around 3:30 a.m. on Monday morning for allegedly using force while trying to take a cellphone from an Uber driver.
The school released a brief statement on the situation Monday:
We are aware of the situation and continuing to gather information. As this is a pending legal matter, we will have no further comment at this time.
Adams started every game over the last two seasons for the Bruins and posted 41 tackles and a pair of interceptions in 2014. He was also the team's primary kick and punt returner.
The details of the incident remain unclear, as does Adams' immediate future with the team.
