Cardale Jones is making the most of his three career starts.

The Ohio State quarterback is leaning towards declaring for the 2015 NFL Draft, according to Branson Wright of the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Jones threw for 742 yards, five touchdowns and a pair of interceptions in 2014. He also ran for 90 yards in the Buckeyes' final three wins in the Big Ten championship game against Wisconsin, the Sugar Bowl against Alabama, and the national championship game against Oregon.

Jones, a redshirt sophomore, came into the year third on the Buckeyes' depth chart behind Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett, but was called into action after both suffered season-ending injuries.

Jones scheduled a press conference for 4 p.m. ET Thursday where he will formally announce his decision.

News of Jones' exit isn't all that surprising considering his infamous tweet from 2012.
