PHOTOS: Warren Sapp unhappy with Miami's jump from Nike to Adidas

Miami and Adidas recently announced the signing of a new 12-year apparel deal that's expected to begin in September and will end the Hurricanes' relationship with Nike.

Warren Sapp, who played with the 'Canes from 1991-94, has taken the breakup pretty hard. 

In true Hurricanes fashion, Sapp conveyed his displeasure by posting a pair of torn-up Adidas cleats on Instagram. 

When asked by sneaker blog Nice Kicks about his actions, Sapp reiterated his allegiance to Miami's former sponsor. 

Sapp deleted his Instagram post early Monday morning.
