College football's most coveted head coach will reportedly remain at Stanford, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Stanford's David Shaw is expected to shun potential NFL suitors. He has reportedly told people in his inner-circle that he loves coaching student-athletes, and plans on returning to coach the Cardinal.
Shaw has gone 41-12 in four seasons since taking over for former head coach Jim Harbaugh.
He had previously served as an assistant coach for the Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens.
