Alabama tight end Kurt Freitag is facing some legal problems after police found 112 grams of marijuana and $4,600 in cash in his dorm room, court records filed Monday show.
Stephen Dethrage of AL.com reports that Freitag, a sophomore, was observed taking part in a drug transaction by police acting on confidential information.
While the agents seized the drugs and cash, it wasn't noted in court filings whether Freitag was charged with a crime.
The Tuscaloosa Police Department declined to comment, while a spokeswoman for the University of Alabama said Monday afternoon that UA would look into the incident.
Freitag was a four-star recruit out of Buford High School in Georgia, catching one pass in 2013.
