Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian informed NFL decision-makers that he'd be interested in potential head-coaching openings, including the Tennessee Titans, reports The Athletic's Dianna Russini.

The Titans dismissed Brian Callahan earlier this month after a 1-5 start to the season.

Sarkisian has spent the last five seasons with the Longhorns, posting a 43-19 record. The 51-year-old guided the program to the College Football Playoff semifinals in the two most recent campaigns.

Texas has produced four consensus All-Americans under Sarkisian's watch, including Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson.

Sarkisian has no NFL head-coaching experience, but he's served as the offensive coordinator for the Falcons and quarterbacks coach for the then-Oakland Raiders.

Texas enters Saturday's game against Mississippi with a 5-2 record.
