Missouri's Drinkwitz signs extension through 2029
Missouri agreed to a contract extension with head coach Eli Drinkwitz that'll run through the 2029 season, the school announced Thursday.
"The consistent progress we've seen under coach Drinkwitz's leadership is inspiring," director of athletics Laird Veatch said in a statement. "This extension, along with increased investment in our coaching and support staff, reflects our commitment to sustaining success at the highest level."
As part of the investment, Missouri also announced an increase in the salary pool for the Tigers' assistant coaches, strength and conditioning staff, and other personnel.
"The board of curators, president Choi, Laird Veatch, and our donors and fans have shown a deep commitment to building a championship-caliber program," Drinkwitz added in the statement. "That means investing in the people throughout our building who work tirelessly for our student-athletes."
Drinkwitz has guided Missouri to a 38-24 record over five seasons, including a 21-5 mark since the start of 2023. He lands his new deal after leading the Tigers to back-to-back double-digit win seasons in 2023 and 2024.
Drinkwitz's previous contract ran through 2028 after he signed an extension following the 2023 campaign.
