Florida DT Jacobs: 'Just seeing Tennessee's embarrassment is a good thing'
Florida Gators senior Trey Burton knows all the words to the Tennessee Volunteers fight song, "Rocky Top". Another senior, Dominique Easley tries to sing along when the Tennessee band plays it.
It's easy to sing the signature tune of a rival team when there's really no rivalry at all, writes Jason Lieser of the Palm Beach Post.
“We’re usually winning,” UF linebacker Michael Taylor said. “So it’s pretty much an insult to them.
Saturday's trip to Florida for the Vols comes with a 17-game losing streak against ranked teams. Tennessee will try to avoid sending the streak against the Gators to nine games.
The Vols haven't finished a season with a winning record in the SEC since 2007 and the Gators are used to it.
“Just seeing the embarrassment on their behalf and the enjoyment on our behalf is a good thing,” defensive tackle Damien Jacobs said. “I’d like to keep it going forever.”
