Report: Mississippi State QB Rogers to enter transfer portal
Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers is expected to enter the transfer portal, sources told Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.
Rogers ranks second in SEC history with 12,315 passing yards and fourth in career passing touchdowns with 94 following four seasons as the Bulldogs' starter.
Mississippi State saw its season end Thursday after falling to 5-6 with a 17-7 loss to Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl. Rogers had 207 yards and one rushing score in the rivalry game.
"I will carry my time at MSU with me forever, no matter where my path may lead," Rogers wrote on social media on Friday.

The quarterback, who missed four games due to an upper-body injury, finished the campaign with 1,626 yards and 12 touchdowns against four interceptions.
"Just proud of the team, proud of the seniors, the real fighters," Rogers said Thursday. "It would've been so easy just to tap out and let a really good team just walk all over us. But I gave it all, man. I can honestly say I've been here four years, and I've never taken a day off or anything like that."
Bulldogs players are able to enter the portal before the window officially opens on Dec. 4 due to the firing of head coach Zach Arnett.
