Mississippi State's Rogers sits out win over Arkansas with shoulder injury
Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers missed Saturday's 7-3 win against Arkansas with a shoulder injury.
Mike Wright made his first start of the season. He completed eight of 12 passes for 85 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He also rushed for 60 yards.
Rogers suffered the ailment in the team's 41-28 win over Western Michigan on Oct. 7. He's reportedly considered week-to-week.
Wright stepped in for the injured Rogers against the Broncos, throwing for 57 yards on seven completions. He also added 24 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Wright, who transferred from Vanderbilt, totaled 1,491 yards and 17 touchdowns over 11 starts for the Commodores last season.
Mississippi State is 4-3 after Saturday's victory over the Razorbacks. They'll play Auburn on Oct. 28.
