Liberty hired Coastal Carolina sideline boss Jamey Chadwell as its next head coach, the program announced Sunday.
Chadwell signed a seven-year deal worth more than $4 million annually, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel.
Liberty was on the hunt for a head coach after losing Hugh Freeze to Auburn on Tuesday. Freeze led the Flames to a 34-15 record over four years.
Chadwell compiled a 39-21 record at Coastal Carolina. He posted consecutive 11-win seasons from 2020-21 before leading the Chanticleers to a 9-3 mark this season.
Coastal Carolina hired NC State offensive coordinator Tim Beck as Chadwell's replacement Sunday, the team announced.
