NC State quarterback Devin Leary will undergo surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle and will miss the rest of the season, the school announced Saturday.

There's no damage to Leary's shoulder, and he's expected to make a full recovery.

The fifth-year passer appeared to sustain the injury in the Wolfpack's win over Florida State last week when he took a hit from defensive lineman Joshua Farmer in the third quarter. Leary left the field with assistance from team trainers.

Graduate transfer Jack Chambers is expected to get the starting nod with Leary sidelined. Chambers has yet to start a game since joining the program earlier this year.

Leary has been one of the most productive signal-callers for the Wolfpack, passing for 6,807 yards and 62 touchdowns during his collegiate career. The Sicklerville, New Jersey, native recorded 11 passing touchdowns and four interceptions through six contests this campaign.
