Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is among 10 Ohio State players who were not in uniform for Saturday's matchup against Wisconsin, according to Eleven Warriors' Griffin Strom.

The star wideout has been dealing with a hamstring injury since the Buckeyes' season-opening win against Notre Dame. He missed the team's second contest against Arkansas State before returning last week against Toledo.

The third-year pass-catcher made two receptions before sitting out the second half against the Rockets.

Head coach Ryan Day was optimistic earlier this week that Smith-Njigba would be available Saturday.

The Rockwall, Texas, native led the Buckeyes with 95 receptions and 1,606 yards for an incredible 16.9 yards per catch in 2021. He also added nine touchdowns.

Starting cornerback Cameron Brown is also unavailable for Saturday's game after sustaining an injury in the first half of Ohio State's win over Toledo.
