USC made a huge splash in the 2021 recruiting cycle, as five-star defensive end Korey Foreman announced his commitment to the Trojans on Saturday.

Foreman is the third overall prospect on the ESPN 300 and the second-best defensive end. The 6-foot-4, 265-pounder is considered to be the top overall prospect by other recruiting outlets as well.

He was also considering Clemson, LSU, Georgia, and Arizona State.

The five-star commit signed his letter of intent to attend USC on Dec. 16 but chose to hold off on his announcement until today.

His signing ends a roller-coaster process for one of the nation's top recruits. Foreman originally committed to Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers in January. However, the blue-chipper backed off his verbal pledge in April, opening the doors for other programs to pursue what many consider the gem of the class.

Due to the NCAA's mandated dead period, Foreman paid his way to take an unofficial visit to Death Valley, South Carolina, to see Clemson take on Pitt.

The defensive end is the latest Southern California ESPN 300 pledge, joining quarterbacks Miller Moss, Jaxson Dart, and athlete/wide receiver Kyron Ware-Hudson. Foreman will join a defensive line rotation featuring Nick Figueroa and Tuli Tuipulotu.

The No. 17 Trojans finished the season with a 5-1 record during a conference-only slate.
