4-year-old FSU fan sells lemonade to fund Taggart's buyout

A 4-year-old Florida State fan set up a lemonade stand Sunday in hopes of raising money to fund a $17-million buyout of head coach Willie Taggart.

The child, Grayton Grant, is the son of Seminoles booster Daniel Grant. He charged $20 per cup one day after Florida State dropped to 1-2 on the season with a 31-24 loss at Virginia.

"I was sitting there last night watching the game, and I was complaining, complaining and complaining," Daniel Grant told Jim Henry of the Tallahassee Democrat. "I talked to Grayton about it. This was all in fun, for sure, but a person can't complain and not try to pitch in and help fix it. We had fun doing it."

The lemonade stand raised $241. The elder Grant matched the total and wrote a check for $482, which will be sent to Seminoles Boosters Inc.

Taggart was hired by Florida State ahead of the 2018 season on a six-year, $30-million contract. He went 5-7 in his debut campaign and owns a cumulative record of 6-9 with the program.
