Maryland sophomore wide receiver Jeshaun Jones has been diagnosed with a torn ACL and will miss the entire 2019 season, the team said in a release obtained by The Athletic's Patrick Stevens.
The talented wideout suffered the injury during Monday's practice.
Jones was a three-star recruit in the 2018 cycle. He flashed speed and versatility as a freshman, recording 22 receptions for 288 yards and eight total scores.
The young receiver had an electric collegiate debut versus Texas, accounting for a passing, rushing, and receiving touchdown.
Jones was expected to play a major role in the Terrapins' offense this upcoming season. Head coach Mike Locksley will turn to Dontay Demus, D.J. Turner, and Darryl Jones in his absence.
