Alabama has extended the tenure of coach Nick Saban by one more year.
The university announced on Friday that an extra year has been added to Saban's contract. He'll remain at Alabama through the 2025 season and he's earned a $400,000 annual raise, pushing his base salary to $7.5 million.
"Our family is thrilled to agree to a contract extension with the University of Alabama that will keep us in Tuscaloosa for the rest of our coaching career," Saban said in a statement.
The 2018 season will be Saban's 12th with the program. He's led the team to five national titles during that span and a nearly spotless record of 132-20.
"We are so fortunate to have the best football coach in the country here at Alabama," said athletic director Greg Byrne.
