Kirby Smart wasn't making excuses for a blowout loss at the hands of Auburn.

Following the contest, the Georgia head coach put the blame squarely on himself for the 40-17 defeat.

Smart added that Georgia "will be remembered for how it responds," and his team will certainly need to bounce back.

The No. 1 ranked Bulldogs now find themselves in a precarious position as far as the College Football Playoff is concerned. Georgia will need to beat Alabama or perhaps the Tigers again in the SEC title game to try and secure a spot in the playoff.
