There was little movement near the top of the second edition of the College Football Playoff rankings, as the top five remained unchanged Tuesday. Georgia and Alabama stayed in the top two spots, with Notre Dame and Clemson right behind.

Rank Team Record Previous Rank
1 Georgia 9-0 1
2 Alabama 9-0 2
3 Notre Dame 8-1 3
4 Clemson 8-1 4

TCU jumped up to No. 6 and takes on No. 5 Oklahoma this week. The Sooners continue to sit just outside of a playoff spot, despite defeating Oklahoma State last week and Ohio State earlier in the season.

Next week figures to see more movement in the rankings, as there are three matchups between top-10 teams. In addition to the Horned Frogs' trip to Oklahoma, Notre Dame meets Miami and Auburn hosts Georgia. The Tigers have two losses, but could still crack the playoff if they win out and capture the SEC championship.

Ohio State and Penn State fell out of the top 10 after disappointing losses, while Northwestern and Iowa are new additions to the list.

UCF sits 18th with a perfect record, but due to its strength of schedule, it's going to be tough for the Knights to be considered true contenders for a playoff spot.
