UNLV will honor victims of the Las Vegas shooting and first responders in a game billed as "Heroes Night," according to Andrea Adelson of ESPN.
The team will wear a red ribbon decal on its helmets Saturday when it faces San Diego State, and will commemorate the 59 victims who were killed Sunday as well as the first responders. UNLV plans to sport the decal for the remainder of the season and will paint an image of it on its field.
The shooting took place about three miles away from UNLV's campus and was the deadliest in U.S. history as a gunman opened fire during a Jason Aldean concert.
UNLV's other sports teams will also wear the decal during their seasons.
