Texas Tech's Justin Stockton: Leads backfield committee
Coach Kliff Kingsbury said Tuesday that he will continue to go with the hot hand at running back, Don Williams of the Lubbock Avalanche Journal reports. "If one guy does something better than the other guy, we'll try to make sure we script plays for him and vice versa," said Kingsbury.
Analysis:
While Stockton does lead the team in both attempts (30) and yards (196), his volume will be capped by Texas Tech's committee approach. He was held in check in the first half of Saturday's game against Houston before ripping off an 84-yard run to salvage his stat line. Stockton will have a tough matchup set for Saturday against Oklahoma State.
