Defensive back Marcus Lewis, formerly of Florida State, announced Saturday he's transferring to Maryland.
Lewis was the ninth-ranked safety prospect in the 2015 recruiting class, according to ESPN, but struggled to gain traction in the Seminoles' secondary. He notched 21 tackles and one interception across two seasons for Florida State.
An undergraduate transfer, Lewis will sit out the 2017 campaign before becoming eligible again for the first of two remaining years with the Terrapins.
