Report: Miami Beach Bowl relocating to Texas
Steve Mitchell / USA TODAY Sports
The Miami Beach Bowl will be in need of a new name, as the annual affair is being relocated to Frisco, Texas, according to ESPN's Brett McMurphy.
That means South Beach lasted just three years as host of the Miami Beach Bowl, which was played at Marlins Park and had ties to the American Athletic Conference, Conference USA, Mid-American Conference, and Sun Belt Conference.
Tulsa will go down as the final winner of the Miami Beach Bowl, with the Golden Hurricane blasting Central Michigan 55-10 on Dec. 19. Only 15,262 spectators were in the stadium to witness it.
