Oregon loses WR coach Dougherty to UCLA
Oregon's offensive coaching staff took another hit Wednesday, as wide receivers coach Jimmie Dougherty was hired for the same job at UCLA, the school confirmed.
Dougherty was hired by new Oregon frontman Willie Taggart in late December, coming over from his role as offensive analyst at Michigan.
The news comes just a couple weeks after co-offensive coordinator David Reaves was charged with DUII, reckless driving, and reckless endangerment. Dougherty was in the car with Reaves at the time of the incident, which eventually led to his resignation last week.

The move to UCLA will reunite Dougherty with Jedd Fisch, who served as Michigan's passing-game coordinator last season. Fisch joined the Bruins as offensive coordinator in January, and looks poised to bring in a familiar face to help Josh Rosen in the passing game.
The two schools meet next season on Oct. 21, and the move will likely add some drama to the Pac-12 matchup.
Doughtery's move is the latest in the string of incidents that have marred Taggart's first couple months on the job with Oregon. Just weeks after taking the head coaching position with the Ducks, the school was forced to suspend strength and conditioning coach Irele Oderinde after three players were hospitalized due to workout-related injuries.
