Oregon co-OC Reaves officially resigns following DUII arrest

Scott Olmos / USA TODAY Sports

After weeks of speculation surrounding the status of co-offensive coordinator David Reaves, Oregon announced his official resignation Monday, according to Ryan Thorburn of The Register-Guard.

The 38-year-old was put on administrative leave after being charged with DUII, reckless driving, and reckless endangerment on Jan. 22. Reports indicated that Oregon was in the process of firing Reaves, but it appears the school accepted his resignation before that could take place.

Reaves had been with Oregon for just five days, having signed a two-year, $300,000 contract after spending the last four seasons at South Florida with new Ducks head coach Willie Taggart.
