Report: Luke Fickell front-runner for Cincinnati job
Melina Vastola / US PRESSWIRE
Ohio State co-defensive coordinator Luke Fickell is reportedly the front-runner to land Cincinnati's vacant head coaching job, a source told Pete Thamel of SI.com.
However, a decision will not be made Friday.
Fickell has been at Ohio State since 2002 and served as Buckeyes interim head coach in 2011 following the resignation of Jim Tressel after his involvement in NCAA violations.
Current head coach Urban Meyer kept Fickell on staff when he was hired in 2012.
