Move over Leonard Fournette, Derrius Guice is now in the LSU record books.

With Fournette back home due to a nagging ankle injury, the sophomore Guice got the start and made the most of it, rushing for a school-record 285 yards in the Tigers' 54-39 win over Texas A&M.

The 285 yards were a yard more than Fournette had when he set the record earlier this season against Ole Miss.

It was the second 200-yard rushing game for Guice in the last three weeks after he went off for 252 yards against Arkansas. He was even better against the Aggies, and set career highs with four touchdowns and 37 carries.

Guice went over 1,000 rushing yards on the season during a first-quarter 45-yard touchdown run, and helped the Tigers finish the regular season at 7-4, including 5-3 under interim head coach Ed Orgeron.

LSU quarterback Danny Etling passed for 324 yards and two touchdowns in the win, which gave the Tigers a 300-yard passer and a 200-yard rusher in the same game for the first time in program history.
