BYU gets away with mind-boggling fake punt on 4th-and-19

What was Kalani Sitake thinking?
On fourth-and-19 from its own 5-yard line, BYU went with a fake punt, only to have punter Jonny Linehan absolutely squashed as he left the end zone.
The crazy sequence of events ended there, right? Wrong.
After Linehan was tackled, Boise State took an unsportsmanlike penalty by spiking the ball. The penalty moved the Broncos back from the 2-yard line to the 17-yard line, where they eventually settled for a 30-yard field goal.
A 30-yard field goal that kicker Tyler Rausa sailed wide left.
When all was said and done, BYU and Sitake had dodged a major bullet on what have been the dumbest play of the year.
