Iowa's C.J. Beathard: Uneven in win over Rutgers
Beathard completed 12-of-23 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown Saturday and added 37 yards on the ground against Rutgers.
Analysis:
Beathard had another tough outing Saturday as he was only able to lead the Hawkeye offense to 14 points against a soft Rutgers defense. His accuracy issues surfaced again as he completed under 55 percent of his passes for the second consecutive week. One positive note was the return of Beathard as a runner as he was able to notch positive yardage on the ground for the first time this season. Provided that he's healthy, which he appears to be, he should be able to have a solid outing this week against Northwestern.
