Kentucky's Stanley Williams: Efficient in 2016 debut
Williams ran for 94 yards on 13 carries against Southern Mississippi on Saturday.
Analysis:
Williams' elbow was a non-issue, and he was predictably explosive otherwise. He might have had a huge game if Kentucky hadn't found a way to limit itself to just 50 offensive snaps in a game where the opponent finished with 96. It's encouraging that the second-most active running back for Kentucky was Jojo Kemp with five carries -- Kentucky had previously shown a frustrating commitment to spreading the carries among two or three runners in any given game -- but perhaps they're realizing that Williams deserves a workhorse role as one of the most efficient running backs in the nation. He gets a much tougher test on the road against Florida in Week 2.
