Texas moves Kai Locksley to receiver from quarterback
Brett Davis-US PRESSWIRE
Kai Locksley is the latest Texas quarterback to be converted to a receiver, joining Jerrod Heard, who switched positions early in training camp.
Longhorns head coach Charlie Strong still hasn't decided who'll be under center when Texas faces Notre Dame on Sept. 4, though right now Tyrone Swoopes and Shane Buechele are competing for the start.
The shift to receiver should be easy for Locksley, since he played the position in the Under Armour All-America Game and looked comfortable.
The four-star recruit out of Maryland was a redshirt last season. He was unable to show off his skills in Texas' spring game when rain cancelled the second half.
