It's not every day a college football player hangs up his spikes in favor of a suit and an agenda.
Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn announced Saturday that defensive lineman Raashed Kennion has left the team to pursue a career in politics, according to Wesley Sinor of Al.com.
Kennion, a junior from Jacksonville, Fla., appeared in five games last season for the Tigers and recorded eight tackles. He served primarily as backup to Carl Lawson.
